dwg file crashes QCAD

Post by GrowMate » Sun Dec 19, 2021 5:34 pm

Windows 20H2 (OS Build 19042.1415) QCAD 3.27.1.0 (3.27.1) (Just downloaded)

I get a 'black' screen when attempting to open this file and QCAD then crashes. May this be due to the inclusion of hatches with gradiented solid files?

Similar using Linux, Qcad hangs then an error opening TECNOFLEX symbol library.dwg message. I'd have to guess the gradient fills are the culprit.

For what it's worth, it opened without complaint on my Xubuntu Linux 18.04 LTS

Version: 3.27.0.0 (3.27.0)
Internet: QCAD.org
Build Date: Nov 30 2021
Revision: 62c65de
Qt Version: 5.8.0
Architecture: x86_64
Compiler: gcc 4.8.1

Could it be something with 3.27.1?

Yes I assume you are right!

I opened it with 3.26.0 -> no problems
I tried then to open it with 3.27.1 -> QCAD -> no response -> Win10 system -> no response! Reboot the System was the only way back to normal ...

At least something is wrong with two hatches. I deleted both and it runs now on 3.27.1 without any problems ...

The cleaned dwg:
TECNOFLEX symbol library_mod.dwg
(993.54 KiB) Downloaded 175 times

I'll file a bug report ...

... Done!

Hello!
I purchased QCAD (version 3.27.1.0 (3.27.1) with idea to move from Autocad. I installed it in 64-bit Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS.
I understand, that probably not all Autocad version files can be open, that's why I saved one small job in dwg format 2010, 2007, 2004, 2000 and dfx format 2007 and 2004.
I have trial to open them and to import them either from folder or from opened QCAD.
The result was the same - Qcad started to load then suddenly automatically closed.
Please help me and explain, what can I do to open my previous autocad works.
Thank you in advance.
