[SOLVED] Break out Segment command sometimes doesn't work

Post by pinplate » Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:02 pm

Hello,

I have noticed that in some cases the "Break segment" command does not work, even though it is clear that the line intersects with another line. Instead, the whole line is cut off.

I am using QCAD PRO 3.27.1.0 x64, but I have noticed this with previous versions as well.

Is there any solution to this problem or has anyone else noticed this problem?

Hi,

please attache an example drawing which shows the issue to your post and we will look what is going on. Thanks.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Hello,

Attached is an example of a file where I cannot break lines with the "break out segment" command.

Try:
Misc > Modify > Flatten Drawing to 2D

There are (tiny) Z coordinates in this file (e.g. Z=0.0000000000000089) which makes it every so slightly 3D.

This solved my problem! Thank you very, very much.
