I have been trying to install QCAD-3.15.4-linux-x86_64 on Fedora 24. All of the correct messages come up in the terminal but nothing happens. The necessary directories are not created. This is a completely new install of Fedora 24 and not an upgrade
Because of this problem and my need to have an active version of QCAD, I installed qcad-3.10.0-linux-x86_64 which I had from when i ran it under Fedora 23. It created the necessary directories and installed fine.
So how do I now upgrade to 3.15?

After running the installer called "qcad-3.15.4-pro-linux-x86_64.run", you should have a directory "~/opt/qcad-3.15.4-pro-linux-x86_64". If this is not the case, please download the file again and check its checksum which should be:
If you cannot get the installer to work, you might want to download the file qcad-3.15.4-pro-linux-x86_64.tar.gz instead, which you can simply extract in any desired location and run QCAD from there (the file to launch QCAD is called "qcad").
