Mac OS and themes

Post by petevick » Wed Dec 08, 2021 9:25 pm

Would I be correct in saying that all versions of Qcad for all Mac OS versions do not support themes, or are there older versions of Qcad that do support themes in the Mac OS. If there are older versions, what might be the latest version :?:

Themes were included in older versions but broken. That's why they are no longer present in newer versions. In other words, themes never worked as expected on macOS.

Thanks for the reply Andrew.
The reason I ask is because after a lot of effort I've managed to create a macOS in a VirtualBox VM, the aim was to see if I could get a theme to work with macOS, and I'd hate to see all that effort go to waste, so what was the last version that supported themes?

You can proceed as follows:
- Install the latest version of QCAD
- Copy the "themes" folder to your app bundle to QCAD-Pro.app/Contents/resources/themes
- Add the following line to your ~/.config/QCAD3.ini:

Code: Select all

[Theme]
ThemeName=Coffee
Or whatever theme you want to test.

- Start QCAD
- Use Misc > Development > Run Script to run the attached script file to apply the theme.
