scale blocks to fit a space???

I have inserted a block of a door into my drawing. In the drawing I have a opening made for it (not a standard opening size, existing drawing of a old house) How can I size/scale the block to fit exactly in the opening say buy picking the two opposing intersections of the wall. I have many such blocks to do all different sizes. Help! please.
