Hi, Michael and welcome to the QCAD forum.
At a certain time in the past, we were all new to QCAD and/or CAD in general.
There are always site admins or volunteers that will help you with any question.
Simply start a topic describing your question or problem in detail in an appropriate sub-forum.
Mind the forum rules and include (
attach) what can be helpful in replicating your problem.
A good start for beginners are the
tutorials on the
ribbonsoft site.
Other
documentation and remark that the 'Document' tab on the site is also a drop down list.
A short but good explanation of all QCAD tools can be found in the
online reference.
For any beginner with QCAD:
- Enable your status bar if it is not already active. In the center is a mouse icon with dynamically updated mouse button tooltips.
- Typically left above the drawing panel is a dynamic Options Toolbar what is shared by most tools to list options for the current active tool.
As a beginner it is important to keep an eye open on both.
The toolbar for the tool options and the mouse button tips will guide you through the current tool.
Regards,
CVH
