Usually yes - we have many Autocad user which are working with QCAD.

This question can only be answered by yourself. The free trial/Community edition is already very powerful and for many user absolutely enough but - of course - it has not the same spectrum like the Pro edition. Test it by yourself with the Trial edition: http://www.qcad.org/en/qcad-downloads-trial and you can compare the differences between Community and Pro.

If you have any question please feel free to ask us. We are here to help!

Pro will open/edit and save dwg's. The best thing to be absolutely sure is to make a test by yourself with the trial edition. Or if you have already an AutoCAD 2016 file you can attach it to this post or, if confidential, you can also use my PM and I will send you an screenshot of that opened file. But remember - we are talking about 2D and not 3D drawings.
