Hello everybody!
I'm a former architect and as a project I do the planning for my own new home.
I used ACAD and Nemetschek Allplan for quite a while in my job. Of course, those are very sophisticated applications but boy, they are way too expensive for private use.
Since I also dropped Windows as an OS on my private PC, I was looking for an affordable alternative that suits my needs.
I use QCAD for about half a year now and am rather happy with it. Slowly I even get used to it
