Hi from perth Australia,
i am a fitter machinist by trade and want to learn qcad to enhance my skillset for work and be able to do my own work down the track

Welcome to the forum. You will see that QCAD is quite intuitive to master, and if you should encounter any obstacle, you will find many people to help on the forum.
