hatching

is there or will there be a way to do hatching with a script?

basically imagine a chess board with all the squares mixed up. I want some hatched and some blank. I guess I could have a script make the squares to be hatched first, then select all and hatch them, then another script to generate the blank squares. I was just trying to find the lazy solution.

You plan to do a chess game? :shock: 8)


Maybe it is possible to draw one or two templates.
Then use a script to place a drawing / block or so on a positton.

Very stupid question but would it actually be possibly to script a chess game in qcad? And with a computer opponent?? :)
