4th Axis
My machine is capable of forth axis, and I was thinking of playing around with it. But I want to get my ducks in a row before starting on it. Will QCad/Cam ever go 3D, If I were to take a 3D dxf file from another program, can QCad/Cam read it and create G-code for it.

No, we have no plans for 3D processing (i.e. toolpaths that are following a 3D solid, mesh or similar).
