Returning to QCAD after a break of a couple of years I have been trying to instal a Community Edition of the latest release on an M4 MacBook Pro. However, I have discovered that there are discrepancies between the instructions given when one clicks REMOVE on the lefthand side of the opening screen and the instructions given under "MacOS" in the posting "Removing the Trial Add-ons".
The dropdown that appears when one clicks REMOVE lists amongst files to be removed which are not included in the CE Ed forum posting:
libqcadproxies.dylib
libqcadshp.dylib
libqcadtrace.dylib
Meanwhile, the CE Ed forum posting lists the following file which is not included in the dropdown:
libqcadtriangulation.dylib
I note that the forum posting has a 2017 date which seems to indicate that it has not been updated since then. If that is the case, then it is possible that these discrepancies may be accounted for by changes in the requirements with changes in updates that have been released since. However, surely, if there have been changes, ought not the forum posting to have been updated to reflect these? In any case, what is the correct set of files that should be removed?

You are right and you are not the first user to report this: Most recent Related topic

On the 'proxies' lib we can read in the QCAD Changelog 3.29.5 (2024/03/26) under QCAD Professional:
'Split qcaddwg plugin into qcaddwg and qcadproxies'
-> Remove both
The 'shp' lib has probably to do with supporting the file format ESRI Shapefile since 3.27.7 (2022/10/03)
A QCAD Pro feature see QCAD Features > Supported file formats.
-> Remove
The 'trace' lib is assumed to be for tracing bitmaps, also since 3.27.7 (2022/10/03)
Also a QCAD Pro feature listed under: Construction .. Raster Images
-> Remove
TRIANGULATION is listed as a QCAD Professional Plugin in: Help .. About .. Plugins
-> Remove
