I am currently using version 3.5 and am having problems with imported bitmaps. Every time I save and close a drawing that has a bitmap added to it the bitmap disappears when the drawing is reopened. The bitmap being used is a standard jpeg which behaves properly when installed - can be moved, rotated and scaled - but as soon as I close and save it vanishes. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? Am I using the wrong format - would simple .bmp or tiff files do better?

I am using QCAD on an iMac with Mavericks v.10.9.4 installed.
