[Solved] Compilation of community version with Qtcreator

Post by Sharko » Wed Mar 15, 2017 2:48 pm

Hello

I'm using Qcad since a while for several personal project (and even some time at work, it's so convenient to draw small shematic and quick drawing and i don't need to beg for teh over costly proE licence that our designer use)

As i want to go further, I currently try to compile the community version. I get several error (and I may open a new topic on that).
But as I see the qcad.pro (and other sub xxx.pro), as it's a software using Qt, I'm wondering if the development is using Qt creator and if I can just compile trough Qt creator opening the qcad.pro directly.

That could significantly simplify my investigation

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, you can use Qt Creator or a command line (qmake && make) to compile QCAD.

Please refer also to our compilation instructions at:
