I'm working on a site plan for a building project. I inserted an image of the survey. When I attempt to open this file, the image is gone. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an obvious solution, like saving in a different format? This happened while saving as DXF, R27.

Re: inserted image did not save
Hi,
Images are not stored in a DXF file.
Only a direct link is stored.
Could it be that the image has move or is deleted?
Do you open the DXF on the same computer as where it was generated? From the same folder?
The easiest way is to keep the DXF and the bitmaps together in the same folder.
QCAD will also look for the bitmap in the drawing file folder when it can't be retrieved from the original location.
It is probably not missing in the drawing but without data the size is zero by zero.
Try to filter on images with the Selection Filter.
For the empty ones you need to include the image file where it was on creation or you need to edit the stored path.

Re: inserted image did not save
I have moved files around recently, so that is likely the problem.
