Hi all;
I'm going blind (AMD) and have been forced out of my trusty old 2D program (AutoSketch 10). It won't run on Windows 11. Of all the free Cad programs out there QCAD looks like the best for what I want/need. I downloaded the latest version.
I've got all the "accessibiity" options that I can get from Wimdows 11 turned on and I'm usuing a 40" TV monitor. I've tuned the TV settings to give me the best contrast. They all help....
Even with the above, the icons at the top and left side of the screen ant their associated pop up discription are hard for me to read.
So, what I need to know is there other QCAD setting that I can use to make those icons and descriptions larger.
I have tried reading and searching for a setting to do that but with my failing eyesight, I my have missed it..
TIA
Going blind, need advise...

Re: Going blind, need advise...
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum.
Sorry to hear...
Yes, you can enlarge the Toolbar buttons (Typically Top).
See: Application Preferences .. Widgets .. Toolbars .. Icon Size.
At the left that are typically the CAD toolbar and/or the Tool Matrix.
Same preference group, also adjustable.
Fonts and size can be adapted.
See: Application Preferences .. Graphics View .. Fonts
Status Bar, See: Application Preferences .. Widgets .. Status Bar
Unsure if this affects Tool tips.
Another option I see is using a specific Theme.
See a contribution by user petevick (Pete Vickerstaff): Qcad Theme Designer
Or contact him personal, perhaps you two can work something out.
Regards,
CVH

Re: Going blind, need advise...
Thank you, I'll get to work on that right away.
Sorry for asking the obvious but it's so hard to see, and impossible until it's bigger...
OMG, what a difference that made! I went to Comic Sans MS 12 - naturaly bold and very clear..
