Hello.
A small wish related to the grid... I dream of the inhibition of (the attachment to) the grid in a very rapid and temporary way, in a different way from a command that one can forget. Pressing a "modifier" key, which the user must therefore hold down (like Ctrl, AltGr or others) for this inhibition to persist, seems interesting to me. According to my way of using QCad, I believe that the errors which happen to me most frequently and which are also the most discreet come from the unexpected snapping to a point of the grid which is close to the desired snapping point, by inattention (failure to have zoomed in on the area concerned) or by a small movement of the mouse immediately before lifting your finger from the button.
I did a little search and only found quick, but things like a box to check (and therefore uncheck!) in a dialog to open (Application preferences -> Snap:Auto snap).
Another small wish: that activating the “Clear list” item in the “file:Open recent” menu does not erase the currently open files from the list.
[Bonjour.

Well, instead of telling qcad not to jump to a certain snap (grid), wouldn't it make more sense to tell qcad what you want to snap to, like just an endpoin, intersection or what ever snap ...?
This said by someone who very rarely uses grids and only turns them on when they are needed ... (not activated in Auto snap!)

Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro

Re: wishes [souhaits]
SerPat,
Temporarily excluding snapping to Grid points from Auto Snap (SA) or always exclude it and activate Grid Snap (SG) when required.
What Husky means is that he among other users like me have disabled Grid Snapping from the Auto Snap list.
When we actually want to snap to the Grid and nothing else then we activate SG.
See: App.Prefs. .. Snap .. Auto Snap and clear the checkbox for 'Grid points'.
I think that a modifier key for excluding only the Grid points is too far fetched.
What with other conceivable exclusions or diversification's?
You might need all fingers to modify the click action.
Your second remark, clearing current open files from the recent list, has bothered me too when starting a complete new project.
Can be circumvented with saving your open current file(s) after clearing the list.
It won't be added when simply closing the current open file.
I have entered a Feature Request, you could vote that up:
https://qcad.org/bugtracker/index.php?d ... sk_id=2572
Perhaps such topics are more something for the 'QCAD Suggestions and Feedback' forum:

Of course. Thank you for the suggestion. There are forums related to softwares where a subforum is named "wishes" : I look here for that title first...CVH wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 5:34 amPerhaps such topics are more something for the 'QCAD Suggestions and Feedback' forum:

You need to have or register for a new login there, it is independent of the QCAD forum login (But can be the same
When logged in you will be able to vote it up ... See top left area under 'Votes'
I see, very annoying, I couldn't translate the context in a browser either.
