Real time versioning system

Hi,

since ages I'm looking for a versioning program which is able to watch my Drawing folders for changes and will automatically backup Versions of my drawings in "real time".

The best what I have found is AutoVer which is a nicely working Open Source Program. Unfortunately the Author has no longer time (the reason to providing it as Open Source!) to work on this program ..... the last update is from April 2014. However .... that Version is still working on my Win10 system.

"AutoVer is a configurable automatic or real time backup and personal versioning system."

I'm wondering if somebody has a better configurable Open Source solution for real time versioning? I'm not looking for Backup software in general - just for versioning. My common System Backups are done by an other software which is very good but fortunately not able to do a real time job. Multilingual would be nice to serve all Forum Members but for me english or german works just fine.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

We use M-files here for all our backup and automatic versioning.

It is not open-source and unfortunately only runs on the Win platform.

But man it is such a good piece og software, it has a price but for the features the price is very reasonable.

We handle all our CAD and project documentation in M-files.

Thank you linnemann for your response - I'll check the usability of M-files for my projects.

Hi,
I use SyncBack, it has both versioning and 'real-time changes detection' (in SE and in PRO versions, not in Lite/Free versions).

No, it's not free.
Cheers.
