Looking at the Properties of a polyline I'm seing a length that does not make sense to me. For example, I created a rectangle 4x5.
Then I used the Draw-> Polyline-> Polyline from Segments tool to convert it. The Property Editor shows a length of 18. I was expecting 20. Can anyone explain?
What is the length of a polyline

Re: What is the length of a polyline
Dale,
A rectangle 4x5 has two sides 4 units long and two sides 5 units long ... Total length = 4+4+5+5 = 18units.
Seems to be correct, isn't it?

CVH

Re: What is the length of a polyline
Sigh I've worked too many late nights. I guess I was confusing that with area. Work from home is handy but not having colleagues at hand to point out the obvious, is a problem. Thanks for being there.
