right mouse click

Hello,

What do you think to give a selection menu on right mouse click, for example give direct access to the properties of the selected object?

Note that QCad uses the right mouse click to quickly cancel a tool or go back to the last step of a tool. You might want to enable the property editor to give you immediate access to the properties of one or more selected entities.

Not sure if we are on the same page. I was referring to the property editor that can be enabled as widget:
View - Toolbars - Property Editor

This is not a dialog, it's a widget that stays visible and can be used immediately, without the need of choosing a menu or context menu,

right mouse click / PDF formats

Post by michel » Tue Apr 29, 2008 8:37 pm

Hello Andrew,

I'm sorry. My request was effectively not very clear. In fact I had in mind a quick access to the attributes in order to quickly change the attributes of lines for example.

Another point I want to suggest is the PDF generation. I can create drawings in many formats, as soon as I want to export one in pdf format the size is automatically limited to the A4-format. It would be helpful if at least A3 could also be chosen. Do you think that is possible?

Andrew, I think he might have been thinking of a context sensitive menu where you could select a to have properties dialog appear. But, that might be the same as the widget you already have. He may like to have it go away when he's through with it, releasing screen real estate.
