[solved] Pull-down menus not showing

I have tried 3.30.1.0 pro version on Opensuse 15.4. The pull-downs (file menu etc) do not appear.
I have version 3.23 running under Opensuse 15.3 - OK.
Copying /opt/qcad/tree from 15.3 to 15.4 also results in a lack of pull-downs.

Any ideas? Missing library?

Which package did you install (file name)?

For your system, I would recommend "QCAD Professional 3.30.1 for Linux Qt 5.14 64bit (Installer)".

I have tried the current linux installer packages:

Professional 3.30.1-trial-linux-x86_64.run

and

Professional 3.30.1-trial-linux-qt5.14-x86_64.run

It looks like a distro problem, Menus appear OK under Opensuse 15.3 ans 15.5, but not 15.4

I'm slightly baffled.

Now I'm really confused.
I have several machines, but test mostly on VirtualBox images.

All 'native' machines running opensuse 15.3, 15.4 & 15.5 have the pull-down menus missing.
All virtual machines run correctly.

You might want to switch off native menus as your system likely tries (and fails) to add a menu that blends in better with your window manager.

Edit > Application Preferences (or Ctrl + ,):
Widgets > Menu Bar > Use native menubar (uncheck)
