Hi All I am new to Qcad (latest version) and using on a MacBook with latest software update and an added mouse.
I wish to draw panels of specified size with rounded corners to chosen radii and with a continuous 'edge' line Afraid I have not been able to find the tools or sequence for this in tutorials or the operating manual. Can some kind person tell me how to do it please? AngusB

Re: Drawing rectangular panel with radiused (rounded) corners
Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum.
The tool you are looking for is located under the menu Draw .. Shape.
Continuous Linetype is typically inherit from the Layer the shape is drawn on.
With continuous you may also refer to a merged string of lines and/or Arc-like segments called a Polyline.
For a rectangular shape there are 3 options:
- Rectangle (from 2 opposite points) (RE) .. Refer to this reference
- Rectangle with Size (RS) .. Refer to this reference
- Rectangle (3 Pointswith) (R3) .. Refer to this reference (QCAD Pro only)
The bold characters are the tools shortcut key sequence that activates the tool directly.
Hit the 'R' key, release it and shortly after that hit the second key.
In the Option Toolbar tick 'Create polyline' or clear it to generate loose segments.
The list of tool options in the Options Toolbar will automatically adapt to the active tool.
Most tool options are stored persistent between usages.
Hint: Ifso, the used radius must be meaningful.
Typically smaller than half the shortest side.
If considered as solved, please add [SOLVED] to the title of your initial post by editing it.
