I have some large library, but the library browser is always crashing since long time and several versions, also tagged versions. I need to disable it by removing LibraryBrowser.js completely or deleting my configuration in order to get QCad starting again.
This is the master head from git, on Gentoo@amd64

I'm assuming that you are compiling QCAD from sources.

Please make sure that you also build the Qt WebKit plugin and copy the QWebView plugin to /home/mo/opt/qcad/plugins/designer/libqwebview.so

I have built dev-qt/qtwebkit-4.8.6-r1 on Gentoo, but there is no file like this included, and no other file on the system:

$ equery files dev-qt/qtwebkit |grep libqwebview
$ locate libqwebview

I'm building qcad from git sources as user in ~/opt/qcad, pulling new updates and rebuilding from time to time.
The Library browser is working with initial configuration, but is crashing with my somehow big electronic library. After that qcad cannot be started anymore with the Library browser enabled, so I always (re)move ~/opt/qcad/scripts/Widgets/LibraryBrowser/LibraryBrowser.js
