I can replicate this in 3.30.0
The Distance/Angle information is only displayed when the cursor is near a snapping point.

Task Type set to suggestion.
Using 3.27.6.0 the information is always displayed.
The snap mode nor if snapped or not does not affect that.
For me that means that the standard behavior has changed.
