Andrew,
In Color mode or Gray-scale mode they are printed as 'transparent'.
It would be nice if a Wipeout is also in the background color when Print or Export to PDF in Black/White mode.
Example DXF in this forum topic.
The PDF in the topic was exported in full color mode.
The PDF attached here is exported in Black/White mode.
