MCP

QCAD can be connected to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, an assistant such as Claude can read the drawing that is open in QCAD, answer questions about it, check it for problems, draw or modify geometry and export the result. This section explains how to set up and use the QCAD MCP server.
